About This Project

Syrian Ministry of Culture — A Modern, Integrated Official Digital Platform

An official web platform developed to represent the digital identity of the Ministry of Culture in the Syrian Arab Republic, offering a modern user experience focused on cultural content, official news, accessibility, and full support for both Arabic and English languages.

🎯 Project Overview

The project addresses a real need: having a unified, fast, and reliable platform that introduces the institution, its mission, and structure, and displays the latest news and updates clearly and easily to browse.

The site goes beyond static information, providing a dynamic content experience linked to API services for news and cities, complete with precise search and filters, and a responsive interface serving users on all devices.

⚙️ Core Technologies & Features

  • Modern, Scalable Architecture (Next.js 15 + React 19 + TypeScript): The project is built following the App Router with an organized structure supporting both dynamic and static pages, paving the way for easy future expansion.
  • Multi-language and Multi-direction Support (Arabic/English + RTL/LTR): Using next-intl with custom Middleware for localized routing, the site officially supports two languages (ar, en) with automatic interface direction switching based on the language.
  • Responsive and Professional UX: The interface is designed to run smoothly on mobile, tablet, and desktop, using modern UI components.
  • Integrated Dynamic News Section: Fetching news from an external API considering the current language. Displaying news cards in an organized manner. Detailed page for each news item with a photo carousel and social media links when available.
  • Practical Search Engine and Filters in News: Live text search with Debounce to optimize performance and reduce unnecessary queries. Date range filtering. Filter state management to facilitate link sharing.
  • Smart, User-friendly Pagination: A dynamic pagination system showing the closest range to the current page, maintaining other filters and search queries while navigating.
  • Content-rich Institutional Pages: A homepage with sequential introductory sections. An "About the Ministry" page. An "International Participations" page organized to show prominent participations and links.
  • Direct and Easy Communication: An integrated "Contact Us" form. Direct linking with official email. Displaying contact information and geographical location via an embedded map.
  • SEO & Social Sharing Optimizations: Dynamic metadata generation for each main page. Open Graph and Twitter Cards support to enhance appearance when sharing links.
  • Enhanced Visual Animations and Transitions: Integrating motion to add thoughtful animations that enhance the browsing experience without negatively impacting usability.
  • Official Integrations and Links: Direct linkage with the Ministry's external events platform.
